Losing my BFF, Vacation, and car accidents

I know I start every post off like this but we have been so busy lately. Last month I was stopped at a light and someone ran right into me and totaled my car. Of course the kids were in the car when it happened and they were freaking out. Thankfully a Good Samaritan saw it happen and he called the police for me because I couldn’t find my phone. It flew out of my center counsel and ended up under my seat. Also I had about an inch of coffee in a cup and the coffee ended up on the roof of the car. That is how hard she hit us. Luckily none of us were injured but it was such a pain in the butt to have to order new car seats, a new stroller(it was crushed in the trunk) a rental car and eventually a new car. And of course this happened a few weeks before going on vacation.  It sucks because my car was a 2018 and only 6 months old.

This was the stroller that was crushed between the trunk and backseat. Also the floor was bent in half

Speaking of vacation, we had a great time. We rented a house in Union Pier, Michigan with 20 members of Tim’s family. I was a little worried with so many people in one house but it worked out great. There was a pack n play in our room but Reagan wanted to sleep in bed with Tim, Avery and I. Some days I would find both her and Avery laying completely sideways in bed but it still worked out ok. The house had a pool and Avery loved swimming so much. We had a great time and hope to schedule another family vacation like that again.

Right before vacation, Chewie was not acting himself. I told everyone that he wasn't looking good.  He stopped jumping on the bed, he would just lay around. When he did walk, he was really stiff and looked in pain. One Sunday he refused to get up and I told Tim that we had to take him to the emergency vet. They checked him over and performed an ultrasound and it turned out he had a huge mass on his abdomen. The vet said surgery would be $2500-$3500 and it might not even help. If Chewie was younger I would have considered it but he was almost 10. We knew the thing to do was to put him down. We asked for some time with him, bought him some beef jerky from the vending machine and sat outside in the grass for a bit. We then went inside and sat with him and pet him while they gave him the injection. I am so sad about it but I knew the day would come eventually and it helps knowing he is hanging out again with his buddy Scarlett. I still cry when I think about it though because he was an awesome pup. I am crying as I write this. He really was the best. He got along with the cats and let the kids climb all over him.

Don't mind me, I was a disaster this day. I knew it was the right thing to do but it still sucked so bad.

Joe was super depressed that Chewie was gone. Now Joe was not acting like himself. He would just lay around, not even trying to eat the food the kids dropped from the table, etc. Even though we know things are a bit hectic, we knew we had to get Joe a buddy. And that’s just what we did. We adopted a beagle/Shepherd mix named Buddy from the shelter where we got Scarlett, Chewie and Joe. He is 9 months old and about 40lbs.

Joe and him get along well. He has so much energy and tires Joe out fast. Surprisingly only one thing (a plastic cup)has been chewed by either dog since getting Buddy.

I am having issues downloading pictures from my phone to computer so these were all I could do. I am missing a lot. I just wanted to post because so much has been going on....

Me and Mama

Mommy says I should leave my hair down all the time because its so pretty but I like it in a ponytail

Reagan and I made this grilling plate for Daddy for Father's day. He also gets a new grill, which he has yet to pick out.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

For some reason I love doing snapchat after a bath.

All packed and ready to drive the 5 hours to Michigan (we took the rental car). Mommy hates driving so this should be fun.

The house we rented had a HUGE dining room table. It was perfect for us!

I, of course, refused to smile for a pic with Kassidy

So much fun swimming with Daddy!

And Uncle Brian!

Watching tv with my cousin, Kassidy.

The watermelon was so good. Reagan thought so too. Look at her cute painted toes!

Stealing Kassidy and Makinsly's babies

I was swimming on my own, well with a noodle and my puddle jumper

Reagan has cheetos all over her face

Reagan showing off her puddle jumper.

Daddy (and Reagan) showing off the chef's hat

Cheese! (well really spaghetti!)  One of Mama's favorite pics from the trip

Reagan is starting to learn my bad habits of opening the fridge

Happy 4th of July! The parade was definitely a "hometown" parade...I think everyone in the town was in it. They even asked us if we wanted to be in it.

Ray is so cute in her Minnie ears

It was so hot on 4th of July so we decided to go swimming again

Showing off Cheez-its in her mouth

Reagan kept smooshing her face against the door

Trying to start my sister off early...giving her a shot..of water. I was obsessed with these little plastic shot glasses

The house had a huge fire pit

Swimming was one of our favorite things to do!

Uncle Greg and Aunt Lauren

Yum, whipped cream!

Reagan looking super sweet

Me and Reagan...and Joe looking huge

Mommy really really wanted to adopt this puppy because it looks just like a smaller version of Chewie, but the pound said he was old and deaf. She didn't care about the deaf part but she didnt want Joe to trample him when playing.

Meet our new brother, Buddy!

Fun with SnapChat

Buddy and Joe

How cute are we?!?!

Oops, another casualty

Swinging around

Joe eating a log

Reagan still sometimes smiles like this today

Mommy thinks Reagan might eventually be left handed. She always picks up utensils and markers with her left hand. She sometimes will alternate but usually uses her left hand.
