Hectic times

To say things have been hectic around here would definitely be an understatement. Though I am sure its hectic for everyone right now.

On Saturday, I was at my friends house with the girls. I get a message from Tim saying he cut his finger really bad on a table saw and that his mom took him to the ER. The doctor said he cut his one finger 2/3 off, breaking the bone and cutting through tendon. Tim is going to be having surgery on Friday. He will be off of work for 6 weeks. This would actually work out great that he would be home to watch the kids since they are off of school for the unforeseeable future but he is unable to buckle them in their car seats if he would need to go anywhere. I am going to try to work from home most days to help him with the kids.

Reagan was supposed to go to the dentist on Wednesday and Avery was supposed to have her dreaded nasal scope on Thursday. I decided to reschedule both of their appointments since they aren't really urgent. Avery's scope is rescheduled for May. I know its cutting it close to then scheduling her surgery in the summer but with the coronavirus happening, who knows if things will be normal by then.

It has been difficult working at home while trying do Avery's school work. Luckily all the work she is doing is review so if we miss something, its not that big of a deal. We are just trying to get by at this point. I did get some new things for the kids to try to keep them occupied.

One of the things I bought is a caterpillar/butterfly grow kit. I know Avery does this is in school but Reagan has never seen it before so I thought they would enjoy it. Hey, I am excited about it too. I ordered it on Monday and it got here today all the way from California. That's some fast shipping.

Another thing I bought was this counting/sorting toy. We will get it in a few days.

We got the girls bunk beds. They have been talking about it for awhile. I also figured it was a way to get Reagan out of sleeping in my bed. She gets scared to stay in her room by herself. So far the girls like them and Reagan has only slept in my bed twice since having them.

We hope everyone is staying healthy!!

I will be posting pictures of Tim's finger so if you get grossed out, don't scroll all the way to the bottom. I will leave a bunch of blank space to give you warning too.. :)
