April, May, June 2023 (ear surgery, Mother's Day)

The doctors performed an ultrasound of Avery's ear and found out that her inner ear wasn't formed correctly and was missing a part of a bone. (You can see what the doctor said below and see a diagram of the inner ear). She ended up having surgery to correct this with the hopes that her hearing would improve on her right side. They put a tube on her left side. After it seemed to be healed, they performed multiple hearing exams and found out that the surgery did improve her hearing on the right side. It didn't improve it enough so that she has normal hearing but it is definitely better than it was before.

Avery finished her last day of 4th grade. They had a 4th grade clap out and Avery just walked with her head down because pretty much everyone and their grandma (including Avery's grandma lol) was there to cheer them on. Avery hates big crowds and she hates when all eyes are on her. Anyways, she was very sad to be leaving 4th grade because that meant she would be leaving her intervention specialist behind that she has had for 4 years. Avery loved Mrs. F so much. She was amazing with Avery.  We were also sad and nervous because that is all Avery has known. She has to switch schools and buses and teachers and it's just a lot of change. Since I am so far behind on updating the blog, she has been doing well in middle school. She is amazing and just goes with the flow of things.

Reagan finished up Kindergarten and is now in 1st grade. She was a little nervous to ride the bus without her big sister but she is doing great.

Here are some pictures that were taken in April, May and June.

Mommy, me and Ray Ray

Not sure why but we like to hold up the peace sign in pics.

This is the card we made Daddy for Father's Day

This is how Ray Ray fell asleep one day. Giant is her favorite stuffed animal

Reagan lost a tooth at Mommy's

Look how happy I am standing next to my favorite teacher. I just love her!

Walking through the 4th grade clap out, head down, not looking at anyone

I wouldn't even look up for Mommy to take a picture of me when she asked.

Reagan and her teachers.

Peace out 4th grade and Kindergarten. See, peace signs again.

Lily and Medes sitting together and not fighting. Its a miracle

What is Ray Ray doing?!

Every year I create a thank you card for my teachers and specialists and give it to them on the last day of school

Happy Mother's Day Momma. Next year, I don't think she will be able to hold both of us at the same time. We are getting too big.

This is what the ear bones look like. Its crazy to see how small they are!

January, February and March 2023

June 2022 until this summer 2023,  has been the most difficult point in my life. I was at my lowest mentally, physically and emotionally. Tim and I separated and I am in an apartment and he is in the house. The kids have been splitting their time between us. It has taken a toll on all of us and we are adjusting to a new normal. (I don't even know why I said that because during covid, it was so annoying to hear it all of the time. lol) This is one of the reasons I am behind on updating the blog. The other reason is because I am lazy. After 10 years of updating this, I didnt want to stop so here we are. I am going to quickly get caught up from January-Sept and then I will be updating it much more frequently.

We didn't do a whole lot during these months. Avery continued to have hearing issues so the ENT doctor ordered an ultrasound of her ears. Since she has had hearing issues since birth, I am surprised they were just now ordering this. It turns out her right ear was not formed correctly and she is missing part of one of the bones. She would have a repeat hearing test and exam and then we would discuss further treatment options.

 Ray is making snow!

Party at Chuck E. Cheese for Reagan's friend. I hung out with Mommy the whole time.

Get Air, I liked it for a while and then I got too tired from jumping.

My feet look huge in this picture

Daddy got us a gaming system that has a bunch of old Nintendo games on it. Mommy was introducing us to Super Mario Brothers. Her and Aunt Janet used to play this all of the time growing up.

Daddy got us rollarblades and Mommy got us the helmets and pads.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Mommy was so excited to vist Joe and Buddy. She misses them so much.

Reagan is nuts! She sat like this for over an hour one day

Lily and Momma helping me do my homework. I had covid but didn't realize it yet. Mommy had it too. I didn't feel great that day and then Mommy didn't feel great the next so we took tests. I am so used to doing those tests. They tickle my nose!

I was sick and my nose wouldn't stop running. I used more than one box of Kleenex over the weekend at Momma's.

I decided to dress up in my gymnastics leotard and do my own make up. Looks great, doesn't it?

Fun at the playground at Mommy's apartment

I finally had a tooth fall out on my own! My teeth were so bad from being born so early and having to drink Pediasure all day, everyday. They brushed my teeth but most of them were in bad shape so I had at least 3 dental surgeries over the last few years to pull them out and cap some of them. This was exciting when it fell out while I was eating a chicken pot pie. Lol. I could finally leave it for the tooth fairy!

Reagan always needs to bring Giant back and forth between Mommy and Daddy's house

This is the ultrasound of my ears. Mommy told me they were just going to take a picture but I was scared because it was really loud and spinning around my head. I am such a good girl and I sat completely still the whole time.

Practicing my headstands

Reagan likes to dance. She is trying to do the floss right here :)

This is Lily. I love her so much! We have had multiple dogs and cats but she is definitely my favorite :)
