Avery did so well at her nasal scope. I was so proud of her! She was very hesitant at first and we kept threatening to leave the room and make her do it by herself. I told her she could get any toy she wanted if she would just sit for the scope. She repeated every word they told her to so they could see how her palate moves. It turns out that they don’t think the fistula is the problem. They believe her palate is too short. We scheduled surgery June 29. I am so nervous for the recovery. They are going to take tissue for inside her cheeks, open up between her hard and soft palate and then insert the tissue. This will eventually push the soft palate back and elongate it.
We hope you had a good Easter!
