It's been awhile since I have posted. So many things have happened since.
Avery had her last day of 2nd grade. Its hard to believe she will be in 3rd grade in the falls.
We hope you all had a great Mother's Day and Memorial Day. Tim's sister had a cookout. Tim's brother in law is a firefighter and he bought a firetruck and is going to turn it into a food truck. The kids had fun sitting in the fire truck.
A few weeks ago I took the kids to Memphis Kiddie Park. They had a lot of fun but it was HOT outside. Avery did not like the Ferris wheel and both kids refused to go on the roller coaster.
Avery FINALLY had her cleft palate repair on June 15. She has a short soft palate so they performed surgery to elongate it. They took tissue from each of her cheeks, sliced open the spot between her hard palate and soft palate and placed the tissue there. That will push her soft palate back and elongate it.
The surgery lasted a few hours and went well. They put over 50 sutures in her mouth. We knew she would stay in the hospital at least one night. Avery, being the stubborn girl that she is, did not want to drink anything so we were stuck there until June 21. (I can't really say I blame her though). It was nice to finally come home. She was sent home with liquid tylenol, liquid ibuprofen, oxycodone, a mouth rinse, an antibiotic and anti-nausea medicine. The first few days were rough but she has been doing pretty well the past couple days.
We got a pool! We ordered it in February and they just came to put it up this week. Our heater for it is on back order so who knows when I will be going swimming because I need the water really warm. We are in the process of filling up the pool with water and it seems like its taking forever.
We also hope you had a good Father's Day! Here are a bunch of pics from the past month and a half.
Ray and I inside the firetruck!
A card for my mommy and these are the things I think Mommy likes
My Mommy's full name is Sue Mama... lol
Ray is so cute!
If you put a solar cover on the pool it will only take one hot day with that bad boy on to warm it up quite a bit.
