We got back from our vacation about two weeks ago. We ended up having a great time. There were a few hiccups like Frontier losing my luggage for 14 hours and then breaking our stroller on the way home but all in all, we had a great time. Disney World definitely tires you out and you end up needing a vacation from the vacation.
Overall, Avery seemed to like most of the rides and she did NOT like any of the characters when they were up close. They were fine from a distance and she would wave to them but she would get really shy and cover her face when they got close.
The first day we arrived in Orlando, we went swimming in the pool at our resort and then went to the Magic Kingdom. We had dining reservations at Be Our Guest in new Fantasyland. The restaurant is located in the Beast's castle. We ate in the Grand Ballroom and it was really pretty. Towards the end of dinner, the Beast arrives and then you get your picture with him on the way out. He was far away from us when walking through the dining room and Avery screamed. It was a bit funny. He is intimidating because he is huge but it was still funny that she screamed.
The second day we went to Epcot. I have been to Disney World many times but never during the Flower and Garden festival. I thought it was so cool. There were flowers everywhere and tons of topiaries in the shapes of Disney characters. At night, we ended up going to Magic Kingdom and catching part of the Main Street Electrical parade and Wishes fireworks. I loved watching the fireworks go off behind Cinderella Castle. It's probably one of my favorite parts of the trip.
The third day we went to Disney Studios and had a character lunch with Disney Junior stars such as Doc McStuffins, Sofia the First, Handy Manny and Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We rode on a few rides and then went back to the hotel for a nap. At night we went to Epcot and saw the Illuminations fireworks.
The 4th day was our rest day and we needed it. We were so tired from the past 3 days. We slept in, went to the pool and then had dinner at Cape May Café at Disney's Beach Club Resort. I booked this meal mainly for Tim since it was a seafood buffet and I don't eat seafood. I ended up finding things to eat such as mac n cheese, corn on the cob and pizza while Tim scarfed down 5 rounds of crab legs, mussels and clams. He said it was his favorite meal of the trip. At night we went to Disney Springs (formerly Disney Marketplace) and did some shopping. Of course we spent most of our time at World of Disney which is the largest Disney store in the world.
The 5th day we went to Animal Kingdom. We got to see a few of my favorite things including the Festival of the Lion King show and Kilimanjaro Safaris. We ate lunch at the Rainforest Café. Avery ended up falling asleep during the whole lunch. We went back to the hotel to nap and then went to Epcot at night. We walked through the World Showcase and saw Illuminations again.
The last day we took the Monorail to the Polynesian Resort which is where I used to work during the Disney College Program. We then took the monorail to the Contemporary Resort and had breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy. After breakfast we went on one last visit to the Magic Kingdom. We had some time to kill before the bus picked us up to head to the airport so we went swimming one last time in the resort pool.
Overall, we had a great time and made some fantastic memories. Everyone should go to Disney World at least once in their lives. I am already looking forward to our next trip.
Ready for the plane ride! I ended up sleeping for 2 hours on the plane
Hanging out at our hotel
Spinning around on the teacups
I liked Dumbo!
Look Daddy, a butterfly!
At Epcot, they had all of these plants that looked like my favorite Disney characters.

Having fun on the carousel!
Of course something had to go wrong when we were on vacation. I got an itchy rash all over my body.
Hi Princess Sofia
I got the last laugh..Mommy and Daddy bought me this Minnie hat and this was the only time I wore it the whole trip. I wore it a total of 3 minutes.
One of Daddy's favorite things was Spaceship Earth. He just thought the architecture was so cool
I really enjoyed swimming in the pool at our resort
Wheeee! Daddy threw me up in the air
Toes in the sand..
I know it looks like I am thrilled but I really liked this ride. Its Kilaminjaro Safari and I loved seeing all of the animals
I followed someone who had a bubble wand and stomped on the bubbles. This is pretty much the only time I walked during the whole trip..yep. I am spoiled.
